Are There Any Utility Rebates Out There?

We always look for ways to support our residential and business customers with improving safety, comfort and efficiency in their homes or places of work, and a part of it is helping our customers to take advantage of a number of rebate options and programs to promote the installation of renewable energy systems and energy efficiency measures.

Here are some ways to save energy money with utility rebates in Pennsylvania:

Met-Ed Rebates:

Through March 31, 2018, customer bonus incentives will be offered on eligible electric Heat Pumps and Water Heaters that are purchased and installed by this date. Learn more about the promotional rebate levels.

Pennsylvania residential customers of Met-Ed can now take advantage of instant discounts on the purchase of qualified ENERGY STAR®-certified bulbs. You can find instant discounts on select products at these participating stores: The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco. The Lighting Discount Program is just one way you can reduce energy usage and increase energy efficiency.

UGI Rebates and Incentives:

Residential Gas Equipment Rebates and Home Energy Upgrades are available to UGI Gas and UGI-PNG customers. Verify your current eligibility here.

UGI Gas Customers can get:

A $100 rebate when you install an ENERGY STAR® Certified Wi-Fi thermostat in your home.

Smart Home

A $500 rebate when you install an ENERGY STAR® rated gas furnace for your home heating.

A $1,500 rebate when you install a 94+ AFUE gas boiler for your home heating.

A $1,800 rebate when you install a 94+ AFUE gas boiler that heats your home and hot water.

A $400 rebate when you install an ENERGY STAR® rated gas tankless water heater.

Customers who are income-qualified may be eligible for free, comprehensive usage reductions services.

These rebates and programs are available to UGI Electric residential customers:

You can reduce your energy costs with high-efficiency appliances – purchase and install eligible, high efficiency equipment and you’ll get generous rebates up to $350!

Natural gas appliances have an annual operating cost advantage over their electric counterparts – switch your electric appliances to natural gas and save up to $1,500 in rebates.

UGI Electric will also pay you $50 to get rid of your old, inefficient refrigerator or freezer, and pay you $15 to recycle your room air conditioner along with your refrigerator or freezer.
